Minister Đurić confers with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.

Minister Đurić emphasized that the bilateral relations between Serbia and the Russian Federation are firmly rooted in the traditional friendship and mutual understanding between the two nations.

The Serbian Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude for the support that the Russian Federation provides to Serbia in the international arena on matters of key national and state interest.

The interlocutors discussed a range of topics related to bilateral cooperation, noting the importance of ensuring that the prominent level of political relations is also reflected in economic cooperation.

Minister Đurić thanked the Russian Federation for its consistent support for political stability in Serbia, as well as for its principled stance—grounded in international law—that foreign interference in Serbia’s political processes is unacceptable.

The discussion also covered political and security developments in the region, as well as broader geopolitical issues.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the upcoming visit of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to Moscow on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism, to be commemorated on May 9.
