Minister Đurić confers with Foreign Minister of Costa Rica

On the margins of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States in Antigua and Barbuda, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Republic of Costa Rica, Arnoldo André Tinoco.

Minister Đurić conveyed Serbia’s interest in working jointly to intensify political dialogue and overall cooperation, recalling the long-standing history of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

He extended an invitation to Minister Tinoco to visit Serbia, emphasizing the importance of strengthening communication between the two foreign ministries.

Regarding economic cooperation, Minister Đurić noted that establishing a contractual and legal framework would contribute significantly to advancing bilateral relations. He pointed out areas of potential cooperation, particularly in agriculture, knowledge transfer in the application of new technologies, and the field of information and communications technology (ICT). Cooperation in culture and sports was also discussed.

The Serbian Foreign Minister briefed his interlocutor on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the status of the Serbian community there, presenting Serbia’s positions on the matter. He underlined Serbia’s readiness to regularly share information on developments in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as on the progress of the Belgrade–Pristina dialogue.

On this occasion, Minister Đurić reiterated the invitation to Costa Rica to participate in the specialized exhibition Expo 2027 and expressed hope that the country would confirm its attendance at this prestigious event.
