Selaković: Relations and cooperation with France in the spirit of strategic partnership
Wishing Ambassador Cochard a warm welcome and success in his future work, Selaković stated that bilateral relations are excellent, as well as that the overall cooperation between Serbia and France is developing in the spirit of strategic partnership.
The minister pointed out that France is one of our most important political partners, saying that the good personal relations between the two presidents also contribute to that.
Selaković expressed special satisfaction with the intensive political dialogue, conveying that he hopes that in the next period, President Macron will visit Belgrade and that there will be a meeting at the level of foreign ministers.
He added that France is on the list of the seven largest investors in the Serbian economy, pointing out that French businessmen are continuously showing interest in Serbia and business opportunities in our country.
Also, Selaković conveyed our interest in cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy, industry, especially noting that the project of building the Belgrade metro is one of the most important infrastructure projects, but he also emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of culture and education.
The head of Serbian diplomacy thanked for the support that France provides to our European integration, and, in that sense, pointed out the good cooperation that we are achieving in the process of implementing reforms in our country.
Selaković stated that we support the European path of our entire region, emphasizing that it is important to enable any progress of an individual state in the accession process to be measured and reflected in the acceleration of its accession process.
The minister informed his interlocutor about the process of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and all the problems we face in that process, emphasizing that Belgrade is absolutely focused on dialogue in order to reach a sustainable agreement and compromise.
