ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia require a visa for entering the country. It is possible to obtain a visa upon arrival in Turkmenistan – at border checkpoints and at international airports. To do this, it is necessary to present the border checkpoint employee with a passport, along with an invitation letter (original or photocopy) from a legal entity or individual, issued in the prescribed manner by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan. Visa requests can also be submitted in diplomatic-consular representative offices of Turkmenistan.

SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT
No social security agreement has been signed.

USEFUL INFORMATION

HEALTH SITUATION — No specific vaccination is required for entry.

SECURITY SITUATION — The security situation in Turkmenistan is stable, and there is a tendency towards increased border control.

TRANSPORT — There is a special customs regime for rugs, jewellery, musical instruments, protected species of animals, antiquities, and artwork.
The main airport is in Ashgabat. There are regular flights to Baku, Frankfurt, Moscow, Istanbul, Tashkent, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Beijing, Almaty, New Delhi, Dubai, London, and Minsk.

OTHER  The national currency is the manat.
Cash payments are most common. Only certain hotels accept credit cards.
