Political relations

Although formal diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1990 in New York through the signing of a joint communique, contact and cooperation between the two parties has existed since the acquisition of independence of Eswatini in 1968. Political relations are based on the tradition of cooperation that existed as part of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs at the time I. Dačić visited Eswatini in May 2019. Speak of the House of Assembly P. Mavimbela led the delegation of this country on the 141st session of the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in October 2019 in Belgrade.

 

Economic relations

During 2020 there was no registered export from the Republic of Serbia to Eswatini, while import from Eswatini amounted to 65,000 euros.

Bilateral agreements

Agreement on the implementation of the extradition agreement signed by Serbia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain on 6 December 1900 that applied to the Kingdom of Swaziland before it acquired independence, date of signing: 07 April 1971,

Agreement on the implementation of the Convention on the regulation of mutual assistance in running proceedings in civic and trade matters that are in bankruptcy or may be in bankruptcy before basic court authorities, signed in London on 27 February 1936, date of signing: 23 April 1971.
