Sector for Public and Cultural Diplomacy
The Sector for Public and Cultural Diplomacy performs tasks related to:
- Informing the domestic and international public about the foreign policy objectives of the Republic of Serbia and the activities of the Ministry;
- Participating in the preparation and implementation of special projects within the presidency of the Republic of Serbia in international organizations;
- Participating in the organization and implementation of commemorations of important dates and anniversaries of the Republic of Serbia;
- Participating in the execution of activities during major international sporting events;
- Conducting activities related to communication with the media;
- Organizing and implementing activities related to the presentation of Serbian culture, arts, language, science, and sports globally;
- Organizing, implementing, and coordinating public and cultural diplomacy projects with the diplomatic missions and cultural centers of the Republic of Serbia worldwide;
- Participating in the organization of conferences, professional lectures, celebrations of Serbian culture festivals abroad; participating in the execution of foreign countries' cultural festivals in the Republic of Serbia;
- Coordinating matters related to the awarding of scholarships to domestic and foreign students;
- Participating in organizing events related to fostering the culture of remembrance of the liberation wars and the suffering of the Serbian people at home and abroad;
- Conducting tasks related to the improvement of the position of the Serbian diaspora abroad and monitoring issues of emigration from Serbia;
- Strategic planning of foreign policy appearances aimed at preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia;
- Organizing programs to nurture the tradition of Serbian diplomacy and organizing activities of the Museum of Serbian Diplomacy;
- Other tasks within its scope.
